SpaceApps Challenge
January 2012 – May 2014
San Francisco, CA – Krakow, Poland – Boston, MA
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is an independent agency of the executive branch of the US federal government responsible for the civilian space program, as well as aeronautics and aerospace research.
The SpaceApps Challenge joined together over 2,000 people around the world in creating solutions of global importance related to spaceflight.
Role
Worked with the OpenNASA on the scaffolding for a global synchronous hackathon, connecting with local leaders, and coordination of teams during the event itself. In addition to this global role, I organized and facilitated the keystone event in SF the first year, organized and facilitated the one in Krakow the following year, and mentored the organizing team in Boston the year after.
